Using pinhole cameras made from photographic paper boxes and paint cans students take and process pinhole images in preparation for Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.
The project is a tremendous educational tool enabling me to teach students about the chemistry of photography and the development of the Camera Obscura into modern cameras in a painless and fun manner. It’s about empowering the student to be in control of the images they produce as apposed to the "instant" image photography that has become a part of their everyday lives.
