Discover the possibilities of low-tech photography by making your own pinhole camera. After constructing your camera out of a recycled box, experiment with taking and developing negative prints of Sitka’s surroundings. This workshop will include a brief history and the science behind pinhole photography. There will be time to experiment with pre-prepped cameras to understand the effects before using your own.

Materials List

Students Bring:
• One or two recycled boxes/containers (you’ll choose 1 to use)

Instructor Provides:
• Prepared recycled pinhole cameras for experimenting with
• Liquid Light and brushes
• Developer/fixer and trays
• Extra recycled containers for students to use
